Winter
Mindfulness Retreat February 2010
This
winter
we will offer an
optional multi-day extension of our regular weekend retreat.
Enjoy up to five
days of mindfulness practice in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh
with
sitting and
walking meditation, some silent meals, dharma discussion, recitation of
the
Five and the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings, networking with statewide
meditation groups
and other activities.

It
is expected that most
people will come just for the weekend with our usual schedule
starting at 5 PM
Friday through our concluding Sunday Dinner at 1 PM. We will also
offer
meditation and activities Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday and
Friday.
Come when
you can and stay as long as you like.
The
cost for the retreat is forty-five dollars a night plus tax for a bed
in the
“Dormitory
Domes”
including meals. If you stay more than three nights you will
receive a 15% discount. Some
private rooms are available for an additional cost
through the Song of the Morning office.
Come
enjoy
the deep quiet of
the north country in wintertime. Song of the Morning offers
eight
hundred acres of forest land astride the pristine Pigeon River and is ideal for meditation. It is
about
a four hour
drive from Detroit or Grand Rapids. The accommodations are clean and
comfortable
with
heated rooms and extra blankets. Meals will be vegetarian.
